Camera angles

Camera Angles

Over the shoulder:

Enables the audience to see the action between two characters over the shoulder. The audience then can see the expressions from both characters.

Low angle and high angles:

The camera points up towards the character, it gives audience the idea that the character has power and is bigger than the other character or the audience.

When the camera is looking down on the character it makes them look vulnerable and threatened. It makes them look smaller and weak.

Camera Movements:

Zoom:

Zoom allows us to see the characters facial expressions close up and we can see the setting better.

Establishing shot:

Place/setting showing background in depth. This helps the audience understand were the show is being set.

Camera shots:

Crane shot:

To follow the action in a vertical direction. This makes the audience see a higher and bigger view of the scene.

Close up:

Allows us to see their emotion and expressions giving us an idea of how they feel.
